The group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Blankenstein (Molecular Immunology and
Gene Therapy) in the Max-Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine is
seeking a PhD Student.
We are trying to isolate and characterize high avidity T cells for anti-tumor immunotherapy. The candidate will be involved in the isolation and identification of tumor antigen-specific high avidity T cells and their T cell receptors (TCR). The major research methods include immunization, antigen-specific tetramer staining, T cell in vitro re-stimulation and culture, T cell function assay (interferon-release assay, interferon-secretion assay), T cell and TCR cloning, and TCR retroviral gene transfer, etc.
PhD student applicants should have completed their master studies in immunology, biochemistry or biology with a strong background in molecular immunology, molecular biology and cell biology.
